CCG #115 and Pencil Lines

Title: R&DaddyThis is Rianna when she was just 17 days old. My husband once told me that he only wanted to have sons. Typical of a Pakistani. Hmmph. But when she came around, he had no idea how much love he had for her. I just love how he is embracing her.

Pencil Lines Sketch #126
Cardstock: Bazzill (kraft); Patterned paper: My Mind's Eye (dot), Crate Paper (floral), Chatterbox (brown); Lettering: Chatterbox (daddy, "R"), American Crafts ("&"); Rub-ons: Heidi Grace (floral), Hambly (journaling spot), Sassafras Lass (stitches); Stickers: My Mind's Eye (green scroll border, blue strip); Other: American Crafts (brad); K&Co (circle tag); Tools: Fiskars (border punch); Unknown: ribbon, flowers, embroidery floss

I pretty much stayed with the sketch. No flipping or turning. It was pretty easy to interpret. Once I found my supplies.

See the blue peeking through the border? To save paper, I used blue strips and used the adhesive tabs to stick it behind the punched border. Clever, huh?

I also combined this with the Stash Challenge at Two Peas - use My Mind's Eye, Chatterbox and Crate Paper. I was able to combine all three and still managed to work the colors together. I like recipe challenges because it's a real challenge for me to stick to it, digging through my stash searching for the right mix that will work for the color combo.

I tell you IRL it is closer to the colors than it appears here, the photo was taken indoors and I had to tweak the lighting a bit. I am very pleased with the way it turned out, though. Also love that I used my new Fiskars border punch. I just want to punch, punch, punch. LOVE IT!

Thanks for looking, going to upload the next one!
bye for now!
